The best way to calculate your poker hands odds
If you want to be good at Holdem poker games then it is very important for you to know about your poker hands odds during the
entire Texas Holdem games. If you want to form good Holdem hands then you need to know your odds. If you want to know about your chances of hitting your hands at the river, then you should be aware of how many outs you have in the game.
Let’s consider that in the game of Texas Holdem you are having A-9 of hearts and two more hearts are shown up after the flop. So, your poker hands odds for getting another heart at the river will be around 36% or you can say 3 to 1 (i.e. you will be getting the next one out of three times). You can know about the Holdem poker hands odds by looking at the number of outs (number of cards remaining on the deck) you have. These outs help you in forming Holdem hands.
Now, let’s see how we reached at a result of 36%. You are having A-9 of hearts and you get two more hearts on the flop. So now you have nine more hearts (2 hearts in your hands + 2 hearts present on the table less total of 13 hearts= 9 outs) on the deck to make a flush. Now, on multiplying the number the number of outs with 4 will give you chances of hitting your hand on the river.
Let’s talk about the poker pot odds. Poker pot odds are obtained by dividing the total value of the pot to the cost of calling a bet that has been raised by another player. So, higher the ratio between the two, the better the poker pot odds will be. For e.g.: if there is $60 in the pot and a player bets $15 more and the other two players on the table calls his bet so at that point of time you have a chance of 9 to 1 in the pot odds.
